Wimbly Lu (revisited)

It's been a rainy and homely Sunday.

Stayed home for the most part of today because the weather made me so lazy to head out.

Saturday was a fulfilling one because I finally brought Thom to try the ultra nice waffles at Wimbly Lu.

:)

Year ends are always hectic when it comes to work.

Really hope it will be over soon so that I can take a much needed break from the stress of work.

I swear I'm in love with outfits that come with mesmerizing lace details.

We spent a long time hunting for this particular lace that scallops at the edges just like the original Miss Selfridge piece.

So glad to have made this piece come true!

We went at around 5pm and were pretty lucky to get our seats immediately.

Too bad they served only desserts and drinks at that timing.

I was looking for something more filling than desserts.

Chocolate Marshmallow Pie for my sweet tooth

Poor Thom had separators put in for his upcoming braces treatment and couldn't eat anything besides old people food.

So I had to finish most of the desserts we ordered.

Need to start working out more to burn off all the calories.

Still trying to abstain from caffeine (KOI being the exception),

so I ordered the Iced Honey Lemon drink!

Wimbly Lu's famous waffles with a scoop of homemade salted caramel ice cream.

Thom loved this as well,

so I guess we'll be back for another round of it soon enough!

This was the other thing which brought me some cheer over the gloomy weekends...

Benefit is and always will be one of my favourite cosmetic brands.

which thoughtfully came with a brush too!

This is a really good gift idea for Christmas and I'll definitely be giving Benefit to some of my friends this festive season.

On a completely unrelated note,
I also spent part of my weekend packing my clothes, bags, shoes, nail polishes and accessorizes for a flea event which I will be attending on the 28/29 December.

Wiping the dust off my blog and I think I'll be blogging several entries this weekend!

Visited Wimbly Lu with Sissy earlier this week.
We had a photoshoot there sometime last year and went there once for their desserts.
But I wanted to try out other items on the menu so we went on a random afternoon!

Was pretty crowded on a weekday noon so I guess you should be prepared to queue if you are headed there on a weekend.














Ordered the waffles with sea salt caramel ice cream, sticky date toffee pudding, iced lemon tea and iced honey lemon!
Was pleasantly surprised that the bill only totaled up to $22!

I love the waffle SO MUCH.
I don't know how they do it but it's extremely light and crispy on the outside,
but fluffy on the inside!
The homemade ice cream definitely was the highlight of this dessert too.
LOVE.

The sticky date toffee pudding was alright,
but paled in comparison to the waffle.
By seeing how I keep going on about the waffle is good enough to give you an idea of how yummy it is!

Chanced upon a really cute floral print at the supplier's and I thought it would be a good idea to make them in our favourite basic,
which is none other than the CLV top!
:D :D :D

It's one of those prints which makes me go 'OMG I HAVE TO MANUFACTURE SOMETHING USING THIS FABRIC!'
So I don't think you should miss out on this if you already love the CLV!





I've been so busy with work that I'm really not finding much motivation at the end of every work day to update this space even though I've been out and about.
I've been saying that I want to go for a jog for the past two weeks and I have yet to do so.

Sometimes I wish there were two of me,
but sadly that is not possible in reality.

Oh well!
Here's hoping that it's just a busy phase and I'll pass through it soon!

Hello, July!

July has been off to a brilliant start.

Didn't head out much this week but I've some pictures to share!

Trying to make a habit out of taking my outfit pictures daily,

and it's a good thing because I have to stop myself from dressing sloppily every day even though I'm heading to the office and no one will care about what I wear.

One of the more happening days this week was when we picked up the lil one from her 5 hour break in school to have good food!

What kind of sucky timetable is that by the way,

5 hours break in between?!

Our intention was to bring the lil one to Wimbly Lu,
a cafe which is just a stone's throw away from her school!

I miss the school uniform days....
Days when I don't have to fuss over what to wear in the mornings with a groggy brain.



Okay, scratch that.
I think having the freedom to wear whatever I want is more awesome!!
Hahahaha!

Ordered a S'mores pie (AWESOME X 10), iced Ribena and iced Baileys Chocolate because we were still full from dim sum!
We're an easy bunch of kids to feed,
we get full really easily!

We don't spend enough time together having fun,
even though I see Jolene almost every single minute of the week.

Love my sisters.
Cannot be more glad that we have all grown and learnt how to get along together so fabulously.
After all, sisters are a girl's best friends for life!

I ordered a cushioned laptop sleeve from Fabrix and they did a really speedy delivery!
:)
Opted for registered mail and I got it within 2 days!
So happy!
