Showing off my latest set of nails done by my awesome AWESOME nail sponsor Milly's!
:)
Florals and nautical are definitely not the most common combination but I'm glad Gina my manicurist did such a great job out of it!

One of my nails broke tragically on the day just before my appointment..
But Gina was super gentle (no pain at all!) and suggested to mend it with a layer of gel overlay.
Such a lifesaver.
Now I just need to wait for my poor broken nail to grow out!

Already having ideas for my next visit to Milly's!

Was browsing through the nail art tag on Instagram and I chanced upon a few girls doing the previous Craftholic set which Chloe designed for me.
So proud of the manicurists at Milly's!
Hehe.

Call and book your appointment with Milly's!

Outfit of the day:
Oxblood cardigan upcoming on TTR,
Basic Hot Shorts in Stonewash from TTR,
white loafers from Left Foot

My go-to cardigan for chilly days.
This colour was love at first sight for me,
and I love how nicely the cardigan sits on the hips instead of falling loosely down.
And I've always loved the cable knit pattern on knit pieces!

Spent Sunday with Thom because it's my only free day in the week now.
I've been really busy so I appreciate my free day extremely.

It was a rainy day and we didn't feel like going anywhere too far from home.
So we decided to revisit our favorite chill out places in the area.

First stop at Habitat Coffee because of their all day brunches!
I can NEVER wake up to go for brunches on weekends,
not to mention terrible queues at most places.
Love all day brunches!

I ordered The Shrooms and I loved how delicately balanced the flavours were!
The mushrooms looked really bland but somehow the seasoning was really good.
I have nothing to complain about the hollandaise sauce and brioche too.
The poached eggs were slightly on the runny side but it's fine by me,
I rather have them runny than otherwise.
;)

Truffle fries came in a cute mess tin and were fried to perfection.
Think I will be going back for them again really soon!!

Thom ordered the banana pancakes and it was really fluffy.
And I loved that it came with caramelized bananas!

The standard of food seemed to have improved since my previous visit!
Definitely see myself going back for more truffle fries,
and maybe try The Big Ben!

Have a good week y'all!
Will be updating this space with 2 more entries this week,
and one of them pretty interesting.
I'm going to do up a 'Guide to owning a blogshop' post.

Flying off for work this week but I'm pretty excited because I have so many nice designs in mind!!
Can't wait to see them all materialize.

13.11.12

The little things in life.

Starting a brand new week with a new outfit is something which makes me happy.
HAHAHA.
Even though I practically never repeat my outfits..
(So technically I should be happy everyday, haha.)

Oh yes, for those who have been asking since my first 'save Joyce's wardrobe' selling post...
I'm posting up the 2nd part on Wednesday, 9PM!!!
Selling off past TTR items which I have kept (in too many colours, haha)!
All pieces are worn before but mostly not more than twice.

We'll be launching the floral shorts this weekend on the new dot com!
The cutting is super awesome, hehe.
For those who have always loved our shorts, don't miss this!!
Picked this floral fabric to manufacture the shorts in because I saw something similar in Zara previously,
but they didn't have it in a nice enough cutting.
Hahaha.

The crochet top will probably be launched later this month!
Something similar to our Dreamcatcher Crochet Top which was so very well loved by many of our customers.
Did this in a length longer for those who want to wear a crochet top with mid/normal waist shorts.

Here's another thing in life which never fails to cheer my day up immensely.
ICE CREAM WITH WAFFLES!
More specifically, horlicks and tim tam ice cream with waffles!
The strawberry was for Thom. ;p

I have been rather stressed out for quite some time now regarding the shift to a dot com.
Preparing and putting together a new website amidst our usual daily operations isn't quite a piece of cake...
And with this additional workload I was a little more short tempered than usual.
I found it harder to be happy and excited about the small things in life because I felt quite a bit of pressure to get everything done nicely and on schedule.

But yay, the website is going to be up soon and it's gonna be a huge burden off my chest!
We have quite a few plans ahead of us for www.thetinselrack.com,
but most importantly, we'll be coming up with some ways to thank and give back to our customers which have been with us for such a long way to come.
;)

We browsed through the past collections and realised that some of them have been with us since the first few collections!

My customers have been really sweet, supportive and encouraging and I'm really thankful for them.
But all these words (AND MORE) I shall leave for the post where I'll blog about TTR's story from Livejournal to Dotcom!
Hehe.

Still a mixture of trepidation and bubbling excitement about THE BIG MOVE.
Soft launch on 15 November and THE FIRST LAUNCH on 18 November!
Keeping my fingers very tightly crossed.

20.3.12

Exciting months ahead!

Dropping by to give my blog some life before this week gets crazy!
Minion Erica is off to camp so we're pretty shorthanded.
:(

Horlicks tim tam ice cream to chase away Monday blues, anyone?
:))))
My absolute favourite ice cream flavour.
Awfully sinful and fats-filled but I love!

Cutest nephew came to my house last week and we forced him to take photos beside Jessie's giant bear!
Hahaha he's like smaller than the bear, how cute is that!

Here's my number one cutie pie!

Just how much cuter can he get?
:D :D :D

April/May/June look like exciting months to me because of the following:

1) Getting braces!!!!

Still really jittery about the extractions but whatever! It will be worth it!
I've gotten so much encouragement from formspring, haha.
Didn't know that there are so many people who went through braces before/are still having braces now!

Trying to stuff myself with as much good/junk food lately.
I've heard plenty of horror stories about having porridge every day after extractions.

Okay, bracing myself (LOL PUN INTENDED) for it!

2) Japan trip in Apr/May!

Which I have not planned for, urgh.
Super looking forward to it though!
Bestie quick come plan the itinerary with me soon!

3) Possibly a new office! :D

Yeppppp.
Getting ready to move on with another (bigger) office,
because we're really bursting out of our current one.

Which is exciting but daunting at the same time because I don't like dealing with paperwork.
All the adult-ish stuff to handle makes me go crazy.
Good thing I've got a boyfriend who's good at doing all that!

So yes, you can look forward to updates on the 3 major events on my blog...
;)

2012 has been really eventful so far,
in hardly the blink of an eye we're nearing the end of March.
The rest of it is still looking pretty darn good to me though!
:)
Life's awesome.
