Florals and nautical are definitely not the most common combination but I'm glad Gina my manicurist did such a great job out of it!

One of my nails broke tragically on the day just before my appointment..
But Gina was super gentle (no pain at all!) and suggested to mend it with a layer of gel overlay.
Such a lifesaver.
Now I just need to wait for my poor broken nail to grow out!

Already having ideas for my next visit to Milly's!

My go-to cardigan for chilly days.
This colour was love at first sight for me,
and I love how nicely the cardigan sits on the hips instead of falling loosely down.
And I've always loved the cable knit pattern on knit pieces!










Spent Sunday with Thom because it's my only free day in the week now.
I've been really busy so I appreciate my free day extremely.

It was a rainy day and we didn't feel like going anywhere too far from home.
So we decided to revisit our favorite chill out places in the area.

First stop at Habitat Coffee because of their all day brunches!
I can NEVER wake up to go for brunches on weekends,
not to mention terrible queues at most places.
Love all day brunches!















I ordered The Shrooms and I loved how delicately balanced the flavours were!
The mushrooms looked really bland but somehow the seasoning was really good.
I have nothing to complain about the hollandaise sauce and brioche too.
The poached eggs were slightly on the runny side but it's fine by me,
I rather have them runny than otherwise.
;)

Truffle fries came in a cute mess tin and were fried to perfection.
Think I will be going back for them again really soon!!

Thom ordered the banana pancakes and it was really fluffy.
And I loved that it came with caramelized bananas!

The standard of food seemed to have improved since my previous visit!
Definitely see myself going back for more truffle fries,
and maybe try The Big Ben!

Flying off for work this week but I'm pretty excited because I have so many nice designs in mind!!

Glorious weekends.

My preferred mode of weekends is as such:

Sleep in, wake up for lunch, go back to bed curled up with a good read/ipad, head out nearby for dinner, sleep.

As relaxed as can be.

But occasionally, I still like to head out and have some life.

Also so that I have pictures to blog about.

Hahaha, so you see, having a blog is awesome this way.

And some other ways too, but I shall leave that to another blogpost.

Spent my time this weekend exploring food places along Upper Thomson!

Sometimes I'm just pure lazy to head down all the way to town,

and the crowd can get really horrible on weekends.

Upper Thomson is near to my place and it's another place (other than Serangoon Gardens) that I love to hang out at!

Gave Little Pancakes a visit because it has been appearing quite a lot on my instagram feed lately!

And I love the graphics and decor!
VERY CUTE HEHE.

If you're planning to go into F&B,
don't scrimp on the decor!

Cos if your food is no good,
at least your customers will have a nice time taking photos inside your cafe/restaurant.
Hahahaha.




We went around 9pm for a late dinner, and sadly most of their items on the menu are not available because they ran out of eggs!
Perhaps they underestimated their demand for the day,
but I told Thom they should have ran over to Sheng Shiong next door to replenish since they open till 1 or 2 am.
Makes sense right?
Haha.

But anyway, we ended up settling for Just Butter and Sugar Lah! and Ham and Cheesy.


I stuck double eyelid sticker to make my double eyelids more obvious..
And they did.
But I thought I looked very sleepy in photos so I removed them after this photo.
;(


Thom always says that phones should be banned whenever I'm having meals with him.
Because half the time I'm busy tweeting or instagram-ing away.

We had a super shocked look on our faces when they placed the plates down.
Very true to their cafe name, Little Pancakes.
The pancakes are damn tiny!!!
I guess we were expecting a larger portion because we were famished.

especially for guys with humongous appetites.

You've no idea how many brunches we missed just because we hit the snooze button too many times.

Our iced peach tea and iced lychee tea which were the perfect choice that day.
Their air conditioners broke down and we could actually feel beads of perspiration on our foreheads even though they had their fans on full blast.

Otherwise, it was a pretty enjoyable meal!


Enjoyable meal due largely to the fact that I finally got to have truffle fries!!!
I've been craving for truffle fries since the last time I've had them at PS cafe...
And not many places serve them.
So I'm happy to have found them at Habitat Coffee!

Would be perfect if the truffle taste was stronger though.
But I'm not complaining!!
