Swag and Swag II.

Posting up some of my favourite photos from the past 2 collections!
There're some customers asking if we had found a new photographer for these 2 collections.
But nope, we haven't!
It's me behind the camera, still.
:)

I'm starting to like being the photographer for TTR because:

1) I can have better control over the kind of photos + angles that I want.
2) Cost saving!!
3) I don't have to worry about the schedule of another person on top of Mel and Dings.
4) I feel super happy when customers tell us that they like the way the photos are taken and presented!
:D

But the cons are:

1) I have to go under the sun. :(((((
2) I'm still not so confident of being the photographer.
(But with Linette doing such an awesome job with photo-editing, I'm starting to be more and more confident of this part time job, haha.)

And for those (still) asking about why isn't Suan taking photos for TTR anymore/if we are still friends etc, can please don't be so persistent?
There's no drama/fallout involved.
It's someone's personal decision and I would really be thankful if you could stop asking me about it.

In Transit.

Bet you've seen this on TTR's facebook page already,
but I couldn't resist posting it up on my blog as well.

GRAB YOUR BOARDING PASSES!
We're going on an awesome 'flight' this Sunday!
;)

We're definitely not the first blogshop to do our photoshoot at the airport,
but definitely a memorable one for me because I was the photographer for this photoshoot.
We found ourselves lacking of a photographer because Suan will no longer be doing our photoshoots due to his personal reasons,
but it was too hard for me to find a suitable photographer on a last minute notice.
So I decided that the easiest way (though not necessarily the best way) was to do it myself.

I wasn't terribly confident of taking on the role of a photographer...
But I psyched myself up to do it because even if I screw up,
I have an awesome graphic designer to save the mess.
Also a good thing that I have 2 extremely awesome and photogenic models who will not look bad no matter how bad my skills are!
;)
Heheh.

I think I ended up doing okay though.

I might even start to enjoy it in future after I get used to the idea of me as the photographer.

This is also what I love about my job.
Even after 2-3 years in the business,
I'm still learning and exploring new things every day.
:)

Had some free time over the weekend,
so I picked some of my favourite shots and tried editing them myself!
You won't be seeing them during the actual launch,
because Linette will be picking out a separate set and she will do the editing for the launch photos!

Linette will definitely do a much better job than me at editing these photos though!
I'm still at the bottom of an extremely steep learning curve with regards to photography and photo-editing.

Feel free to ask me about the items you spotted in this entry!
;)
Most of them will be on sale this Sunday!
