Back again with new updates here!

Still busy with sorting out my accounts for the filing of taxes *cues long sigh*, 

linking up with contractors to renovate the new office and this-that and what-not.

And a work trip coming my way this weekend.

I shall momentarily forget about all the work waiting for me and update this space with some happy news/pictures!

Am going to finally FINALLY take my braces off in a month's time!

Hoping with bated breath that they turn out great. 

Have had them on for 2 years already,

can't wait for them to come off!

Also,

finally found time to visit Plain Vanilla with the sisters some time last week (or maybe last last week).

The cupcakes were as good as many said!

Pretty cafe exterior and interior = half the battle won.
Hahaha.

I'm loving the namecard display!

We went for the Salted Caramel, White Chocolate Strawberry, Red Velvet and Hazelnut!
Would go back for their Salted Caramel and White Chocolate Strawberry again.
The other 2 flavours were simply mediocre tasting like the drinks we ordered.

We also took away 2 boxes of 10 cupcakes.
In total, it cost us $55 (if I remember correctly) for 14 cupcakes and 2 drinks.

And we did not realize it AT ALL because the magazine was upside down and already flipped to this page when we sat down at the table.
We were not trying to be disgusting ok!

Until we finished all the cupcakes and I had nothing to do and I was like,
"Hey look at the magazine, chest hair ley OMG."

LOL.

I showed a few friends and asked them if they spotted anything off about this picture.
And they were like "Nothing wrong with the picture what.. The spoon crooked? The plates not aligned?"
No one noticed that there was chest hair.
Hahaha.
One of those photos that you would not have realized what's wrong until someone points it out to you.
Then you can't help but to notice it every single freaking time you see the picture.
RIGHT?!

It was a nice cafe to be at on a weekday noon.
But I think you would definitely run into trouble with getting seats if you go during peak timings!
The seating was really limited.
Best be prepared to do takeways if you head there on weekends!

Friday Favourite.

My favourite day of the week has to be Friday.
Fridays are just too awesome because on Fridays,
you start to anticipate how glorious your weekends will be.
Sundays are just blergh because Mondays are just right round the corner.

Jolene and I visited the Tiong Bahru area to check out our photoshoot location last Friday.
And since Tiong Bahru had a gazillion cafes,
we picked a random one for brunch.

I keep telling Jazreel how much I love her creations.
She has limitless creativity and I really admire her for that!
And I love the way she presents everything, handmade from scratch for products right down to wrapping.
Can't wait for the next time she visits me at the office because it means I get more goodies from her!






Sissy's french toast with bananas and strawberries!
Tasted good and looked good so I gave it 2 pictures.
HAHAH.
Mine was super meh.
The toast was SO DAMN HARD that it was practically inedible,
(it's not because of my braces, because I made Sissy try it too)
the only saving grace was the smoked salmon which I had to pay an additional $4 to add to my dish.
Else it would be just scrambled eggs (bland tasting, might I add) and inedible toast.

Dinner was Sukiya at 112 Katong with Thom, Jolene and Ben!
Didn't take any pictures there because we've been there wayyyy too many times.
And it's just not very photogenic, hahah.

Caught the Croods with Thom after that and was hungry after it ended so we went searching for dessert places.

And I was mega happy to find out that Max Brenner Chocolate Bar (at 112 Katong) opens till 1am on weekends!!!
Always wanted to go but somehow never had the chance.








Because I had 2 freaking huge ulcers in my mouth.
But nothing's gonna stop me from eating as much chocolatey goodness as I want!






Chocolate lava cake which was not as awesome as I expected.
Too much flour.
;(








The cinnamon sugar coated churros with raspberry and chocolate dips,
WAS HEAVEN.
I'm quite bad at describing food but really...
You will not regret trying this!

I love churros and I hate that they are so hard to find in Singapore.

For the dips, you can take your pick from dark, milk and white chocolate.
You get to choose 2 and my choice was milk and white chocolate!
I have yet to learn how to appreciate dark chocolate, hahaha.
Though I think it will go well with the churros since they are pretty sweet.


DEATH BY CHOCOLATE.
Highly recommended that you order for sharing!
