D' Good Cafe
Earlier this week,
we did a photoshoot at the pretty D' Good Cafe!
The owners were really nice and generous to have lent this space to us for a photoshoot.
Which not everyone is inclined to,
because we take up space (obviously) during a photoshoot and are likely to disrupt their business a little.
It was a rainy afternoon but I was surprised to see that their cafe was still busy with customers.
I expected the cafe to be rather empty since the rain was pretty heavy.
But I guess everyone was craving for hot coffee and warm hearty meals since the weather was wet and gloomy!
Really,
I urge you to give their coffee a try!
I'm not a hardcore coffee addict but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the cafe mocha I ordered.
Plus, all their hot coffees come with the cutest coffee art.
Definitely mood lifter!
Mel enjoying her hearty breakfast cereal with fruits!
While Mel went for the healthy version of breakfast,
I ordered the eggs benedict.
Hehe.
I can never #eatclean.
We managed to do some really cute gifs so you might want to check our launch out at 8PM later!
;)
We brought Xiaobai along and she went burrowing her face into a sack of coffee beans.
NAY I'M JUST KIDDING.
Hahahaha.
That's a fake dog.
We had a good time shooting at D' Good Cafe given their super huge space (they have 2 levels and an alfresco area!) but it was a pity we didn't manage to finish shooting all the outfits we brought.
I made the call to stop the shoot because by the time we were left with the last outfit,
the cafe was filled with customers and it got quite restrictive for us.
Which only tells you how good their business is given that it was pouring like mad that morning/afternoon!
Again, I'm really thankful to the owners of the cafe for giving us a chance to shoot at their lovely cafe.
:)
I will definitely be back for a proper brunch where I can sit down to enjoy my food instead of running around and eating my food at 10 minutes intervals.
Heh.

And I shall end off with my outfit from yesterday!
Outfit of the day:
Tea Cosy Knit Top in Pastel Mint upcoming on TTR,
shorts personal piece,
shoes from Hong Kong
How genius is the combination of lace and knit you tell me?
This piece is inspired by Miss Selfridge and we chose to make our version with a thinner knit material so that it is wearable for Singapore's weather.
Be right back with another post!!!

Forest Wanderers.
It's been a SUPER long while since I did any behind the scenes blogpost!
Hahaha.
Happened to be in the mood that day (god knows why too, that place was super humid with mosquitoes attacking us left right centre) so I took a few pictures to blog!
This recent lookbook is my favourite lookbook out of all those we've did for TTR so far.
Everything that could go wrong for a photoshoot went wrong on us that day.
But still, we managed to pull it off with lots of luck and the entire team's dedication!
Looks damn deserted right?
NO SHIT.
IT IS DESERTED.
We were feeling the heebie jeebies because we had to drive quite a long way into the forest!
It kinda felt like a road trip.
Hahaha.
Only 2 of us to help out at the shoot that day because the car couldn't take anymore.
Outdoor shoots means I always end up with a super messy car with clothes/accessories/props strewn all over.
Hahaha.
Love my babygirl and dearest Amanda for braving the outdoor elements just to get the best photos for this shoot!
:)
And check out Amanda's fiery red hair!
Yes, she's wearing a TTR knit top because she doesn't want to get bites on her arms.
Crazy or what....
HAHAHA.
GOT SO TIRING MEH THE SHOOT.
Hahaha.
The worst freaking part of the shoot.
Look at how tall the grass are!
And it's a total breeding place for mosquitoes omg.
I can still feel the itch now as I'm typing on my laptop.
As you can tell,
we're all not outdoor-sy people.
AT ALL.
We also saw these wild boar footprints all over the place and we were honestly quite scared.
Hahahaha.
Dx says to run in a zig zag motion if they try to charge and us and attack us.
REALLY MEH?
Does it work like that??
Anyway, we were fortunate enough to not see any of them.
Spam this to the max.
We were spraying this on ourselves every 30 seconds because we kept getting attacked by mosquitoes!
But guess what?
NO USE AT ALL.
#shitmodelsgothrough
Sitting and lying down on the rocky and sandy ground with lots of insects crawling around,
wearing high heels while sitting on a make shift 'chair' which is actually a suitcase,
and also changing in the forest with no proper changing room.
(Didn't get a picture of the changing part la OF COURSE.)

It rained right before we shot the last outfit and we had to run to the car to take cover.
Luckily for us, it was a passing shower which stopped just long enough for us to finish up the shoot.
Right the moment after we wrapped up the shoot,
the rain came pouring like nobody's business.
I sincerely hope that I have not used up all my photoshoot luck for this lifetime.
Hahaha.
And so,
the photos you see from this lookbook are a result of all our sweat and hard work and mosquito bites!
Although you might have already seen the photos from the website or our FB page,
here are some of my favourite photos from the photoshoot!
