I was just lamenting about the amount of photos I had to post process yesterday but tadah - this post is now up and running and less than a day.
It's amazing how many tasks you actually get around to completing from not sleeping for one night.
We were decidedly optimistic and headed to Mount Tamborine wanting to hike for a couple of hours before heading to Dreamworld.

We were decidedly optimistic and headed to Mount Tamborine wanting to hike for a couple of hours before heading to Dreamworld.
Both turned out to be disastrous and a waste of time which could have been spent doing other things.
It was a 9 to 10 hour drive from Gold Coast to Sydney so we planned a couple of stopovers along the way.
We made a stop at Byron Bay to for the supposed trigger of this entire trip - skydiving.
This is the agency which we booked our skydiving with - https://www.skydivebyronbay.com.au/.
The photos + video package would cost you around SGD$500.
It was quite the experience to jump off a plane at 12000 feet, even though the fear didn't really get to me all that much.
But if you ask me would I do it again - the answer is probably a resounding no.
Some things in life you only need to try once.

My best Airbnb experience till date with hosts Rosalie and Carl at their cosy home which was aptly named The Nest.
It is a really welcoming place and the hospitality was overwhelming, which caused us to be a little heavyhearted when it was time to leave.
P.s. I really love Carl's super adorable moustache. Hahaha.

Felt like I had too little time to explore Sydney thoroughly, so that's probably going to be on my itinerary again the next time I travel to Australia again.
Quote of the trip came from the staff of a homeware store which we specially hunted down because I did some research and found out that they carry nice kitchen ware.
"Are you girls moving into the neighbourhood?"
I guess we did go a little overboard with the shopping there - plates, bowls, bedsheets, towels and all.
One of the things I enjoyed about this trip (other than prowling the aisles of Coles and Woolworths and loading our trolleys with magazines, granola and random food items) has to be the road trip from Brisbane all the way to Sydney.
The largely unobstructed and paranomic view of nature along the highways and the never-ending blue skies were a sight to behold.
It's a view I would never get enough of.
More road trips please!
For those of you who are curious,
it is pretty easy to navigate the roads of Australia if you're a seasoned driver in Singapore.
The traffic rules and signs are by and large similar,
but do take note of the innumerable roundabouts which can be frustrating when you're unsure of which one to exit.
But not to worry, the GPS which usually comes with the rental car will save the day.
Otherwise, there is always Google Maps.
This trip also marked many firsts.
Cruising the roads in a foreign land.
Sky diving (whee!).
Making use of the kitchen while on holiday.
Stepping into my birthday away from home and everything familiar.
Coming back with an overweight baggage and having to pay a hefty amount for the excess luggage.
I also came back with a newly acquired habit - drinking sugarless lattes/flat whites.
Cannot function without caffeine in my everyday life now.
Here's to many more adventures in life to come.
Be back soon with more updates!
