My eyes are threatening to close but I feel compelled to blog because these pictures have been sitting on my desktop for the past week or so.
If I leave them there any longer,
I probably won't have any more motivation to blog about it.
But I do want to blog because I have an awesome dessert cafe to introduce!
So just bear with any imperfections in this post because I'm typing this entry into the wee hours of the morning.

Visited The Bravery after reading several good reviews online.
But I wasn't impressed with the place/food, somehow.
It could be that we ordered the wrong dishes...
But nothing that day manage to make any positive impression on us.
Plus, the place was kind of hard to find.
They didn't have any name/signboard on the exterior of the cafe too.
Went around the area and we chanced upon Windowsill Pies!
Heard quite a bit about it from my friend who is working nearby so I thought we should give it a try since our brunch was not satisfying in any way.

I love the exterior decor of the cafe!
The windowsill design is so clever, isn't it?
I'm happy that I managed to get a seat right next to the window too!

They were out of iced mocha that day,
and I don't know what made me order the iced chai latte.
My taste buds and the iced chai latte just don't agree with each other.
:(

You would have already seen some of these pictures from my Dayre (www.dayre.me/joycesayshello),
but I personally prefer seeing them on my blog still because they look prettier.
Hahaha.
It's getting a bit quiet on my Dayre because I'm currently extremely busy with work and thus have no life to speak of.
And it's challenging to update Dayre if you have a boring life.
Anyway, back to the pies.
I really enjoyed them a lot!
Ordered the truffle white chocolate pudding pie and it was SO GOOD.
Finished every last crumble of it.
I didn't even know that pies could taste this awesome.
I'm now a pie convert!
Hehe.
The lemon strawberry pie did not appeal to me as much because it was a little too sour for my liking,
even though the meringue did help to balance it out a little.
I want to head back and try the banana almond brittle soon!
I think the pies also make great substitutes for birthday cakes.
I can't stop thinking about them.
HELP.

Outfit of the day:
Basic Drapey Cardigan from TTR,
X Factor Spag Top and Magnolia Chiffon Shorts upcoming on TTR,
bag from Charles and Keith,
shoes from Aldo

Also made Thom do a few outfit shots for fun!
Hehehe.
I'm so glad that he's finally done with exams (but not yet with uni, boo)!
We can finally spend a little more time together and I'm really looking forward to that.
Goodnight sweet pies (haha I'm clearly obsessed)!
I'm hoping for a good day tomorrow,
it's my day off from work!
