I can't believe that I was such a non believer of drawing eyebrows (or even doing any shaping for that matter) when I first started out putting makeup.
I always thought that it was an unnecessary step and that drawing my brows or not will not make any difference.
I ATE MY WORDS AFTER I DREW MY BROWS FOR THE FIRST TIME.
Hahaha.
I only started drawing my eyebrows for the past 2 years or so,
so if you've been following my Instagram or blog since the start you would have realised that there was something wrong with my makeup back then.
Now I cannot live without my eyebrow pencil/shadow.
If I could choose only 3 makeup items to use for the rest of my life,
it would be eyebrow pencil, eyeliner and foundation.
If you're someone who isn't convinced that brows make a WHOLE WORLD OF DIFFERENCE on how you look,
I did some simple photoshop for fun to illustrate to you just how important having a nice set of brows are...

Anne Hathaway with normal brows, with thick unkempt brows and without brows

Natalie Portman with normal brows, with extremely thin brows and without brows

Angelina Jolie with normal brows, with flying V brows and without brows

Justin Timberlake with normal brows, with uni brows and without brows

Jake Gyllenhaal with normal brows, with short and thin brows and without brows
Did a simple experiment to remove the brows of some of the most gorgeous people on this planet.
And I gave them bad brows too.
And honestly...
Even I myself didn't expect that even such beautiful people cannot do with their brows.
They look X100000000 better with brows!
And they don't look as good with bad brows too.
Convinced that brows are important yet?
This brings me to my blog post today,
which is about the treatment that I did for my brows!
The treatment I was sponsored with was the Brow Resurrection Natural (2.5) which is worth $2140.
I am also able to go for unlimited touch ups within 2 years as you will if you do the same treatment as I did.
I could hardly contain my excitement when I was invited to try this latest technique because it means that I will save at least 5 minutes every day in my makeup routine!
And also, save me from the angst of having bad brow days.
Most importantly,
Browhaus is one of the most reputation brow salons around and I know that my brows are definitely more than safe with them!
Taken on a day when I accidentally broke my eyebrow pencil and had to go without.
My natural brows are pretty sparse and non existent at the ends, as you can see.
I look SO WEIRD!!!
I only lasted for 2 hours without drawing my brows, by the way.
Immediately headed to Watsons to buy an eyebrow pencil after that.
The day of my appointment with Browhaus finally arrived and I was pretty excited to meet my new brows!
Jeane from Browhaus accompanied me for my appointment and did a great job at soothing my nerves!
I was initially worried about pain and what not...
She reassured me that the discomfort would be minimal and that I would not die of pain, hahaha.
She also took some time to explain about the procedures using their Browhaus booklet.
I extracted some interesting pages to share on my blog!

I was pretty amazed by their numbing cream,
which worked really well!
Throughout the procedure,
it just felt as if someone was tweezing my brows for me.
The pain level was a mere 1/10 for me.

The therapist first helped me trim my brows and drew my brows to the shape they would be after the session.
Nancy was my therapist and I really love how gentle and professional she is!
She was super patient (I got her to edit the shape for me a few times) and I'm really thankful for that.
:)
The first shape she drew for me was a little too arch-y for my liking.
I already have a "fierce looking" face when I don't smile,
so I wanted straighter eyebrows to appear friendlier.
Hehe.
She only proceeded with the session once I was comfortable with the shape she drew for me!
The super awesome honey lemon drink Nancy made for me.
:)
I love how Browhaus keeps their customers pampered throughout the session.
They also provide disposable earphones if you want to listen to music to distract yourself from the noise of the needle.
Browhaus uses a special technique to create hair-like and natural strands which look like your own brows.
They also use 100% vegetable dye which will not turn blue/green,
which is a big relief for me.

After 40 minutes resting in their super comfy armchair,
I had a pair of beautiful brows which accentuates my face perfectly!
I was really surprised at how natural they look.
I kept telling Nancy and Jeane that I cannot differentiate between my original brow hairs and those which Nancy did for me!
I would have picked a darker shade but Nancy advised me to do it during my touch up session.
The downtime is also minimal,
I only had a little redness after the session and I could go on with my activities right after.

Thank you Nancy!!!
:)
If you're keen to have Nancy as your therapist,
the outlet which I went to is at Mandarin Gallery!
The nice people at Browhaus also sponsored me with aftercare products such as their Build and Fix.
Using these products will ensure that your newly constructed brows can maintain as long as possible!
:)
I also got some tips from Jeane on how to care for the brows after the session.
So here's sharing if you're keen to go for the same treatment as I did:
1) Don't use whitening products on your brows area, they will make the colour fade faster than usual.
2) Do not use brow makeup products for the first 2 weeks of your treatment.
3) Don't scratch your brows if they feel itchy a few days after, it is normal. Just let the scabs fall off naturally.
4) Use the build and fix for at least a week after your treatment!!!

Here are my brows just a day after the treatment,
slightly red but no big deal!
This is without drawing on them at all.
After a week.
The brows faded off slightly and looks more natural as compared to the intensity they had just a day after.
Don't worry if yours fade a little too,
it's meant to look natural and you can always go for touch ups!
:)
