Yay!
Gonna wrap up my Bangkok Travelogue soon!
If you haven't been following,
Just for your information,
I brought around SGD$1k for spending in BKK and at the end of the trip a huge part of it was gone.
I'm a shopaholic just like that, hahaha.
I don't even really know what I spent on.
For normal people (erhem), I think SGD$500-700 should be more than enough!
But I'm always the kind to be safe rather than sorry.
;p
This won't be a long entry by the way,
only left with the last day and we didn't had the luxury of time to visit many places because we had to be back at the hotel by 5.30pm to take a cab to the airport.
Just a note, the traffic in BKK is really horrible (especially in the evenings) so please give yourself a 1 hour allowance to travel to the airport.
Unless you're taking the train (which I think only takes 30 minutes!).
But I doubt anyone will want to take the train with full suitcases, right?
Not me, anyway!
Hahaha.
Hahaha.

The last day started with Thom ordering the wrong breakfast for me.
:(
I took a look at my claypot and was wondering how come they gave me so much beansprouts.
So I started pulling out the beansprouts and putting them on a piece of tissue (LOL GROSS I KNOW),
and by the time I was done,
there were only meatballs in my claypot.
No noodles to be found.
So of course I made him order another bowl for me.
HAHA.

Bubble Tea from Coco before we embarked on our walk to the Erawan Shrine!
:)
:)

The Erawan Shrine can be located quite easily.
We walked to Central World like we did on the first day.
When you back face Central World, the shrine should be diagonally to your right.
You can hardly miss it though,
there are so many people seeking blessings there, both locals and tourists.
It houses the four-faced Buddha (四面佛) and is said to be very efficacious in granting the prayers of the worshippers.
:)
You have to offer joss sticks to each 'face' of the Buddha which represents kindness, mercy, sympathy and impartiality respectively.

Anyone wants to free some birds?

Opening hours: 8am -7pm

We headed to Terminal 21,
a rather new shopping mall with an airport as their theme!
Each level represents a different country and it was quite fun to explore around the mall and see the quirky decorations.

Sat down at Gazebo for some coffee and cakes!
We ordered the coconut cake because I badly missed the one I had at the Asiatique cafe,
but this one was MEH.
We didn't even finish half of it.
The nutella crepe cake though, was damn awesome!
The mocha frappucino I ordered was super kick ass too.

Toilets were amazingly themed too.
:D
There was nothing much worth buying for us at Terminal 21,
but I love the concept of the mall!
And it was a good way to spend time before we depart for Singapore too!

Dropped by MBK on our way back to the hotel to shop for some phone covers/ipad covers!
THE PLACE to get cheap phone/tablet covers/earphones/whatever you can think of is at MBK Center.
Go to levels 3 and 4 for the gadget-y stuff!
Level 1 and 2 are the usual tourist shopping.
Fake birkenstocks and all.

Favourite Thailand snack!
The coconut/egg crepe with melted marshmallow!
:D
If you don't like sweet stuff,
they have them without marshmallows too.
Colourful things which looks like miniature fruits.
I had them before and they looked better than they tasted.
Inside the deceivingly cute shells is bean paste, so if you like Ang Ku Kueh I think you'll like this too!

And then,
it was bye bye Bangkok!
You've been so awesome and I can't wait for the next time I'm back again.
:)
The cab ride to the airport costs between $400-500 baht so make sure you still have enough money left from all that shopping!

I hope it has been helpful for you if you're planning to head to BKK sometime soon!
