Xin Nian Lai Le!

I've been feeling super hyped up for the past few days despite being sick,

because of the red chingchong decorations all over the place,

CNY songs blasting out from shopping malls,

and just thinking about all the festive goodies coming my way.

:D

Chinese New Year has always been (and STILL IS) my favourite festival out of all.

Christmas doesn't come close, nope!

Hokay, shall stop blabbering about my love for CNY.

So I've been really excited about the designs for CNY (because it's my favourite festival!!!),

and some of them were submitted one year ago.

You'll be seeing a mix of styles for the upcoming designs,

traditional (like the cheongsam! but we kept it cute with polka dots),

casual (for those who wants to wear their CNY clothes on normal days as well),

FUN & LOUD (like what we always have!),

dressy and feminine (for the ladies out there).

And I'm happy like a busy bee running about preparing and thinking of ideas for our shoots.

The first shoot was done at the Chinese Gardens!

I've actually never been there before...

And we did it wayyyyy in advance before Mel left for the States!

So while everyone was preparing to celebrate Christmas, 

we had to fast forward to CNY mood already!

I think playing CNY songs from the iphone during the shoot helped.

LOL.

Maximum love for the cheongsam because the polka dots aren't printed on!
Not as simple as that!
Hahaha.
The bottom layer (solid colour) is made of a stretchable comfy spandex rayon material which doesn't restrict movement and fits nicely to every body shape,
the polka dots are velvet dots embossed on a layer of mesh (which you can't tell from the photos).

To keep things interesting, we choose to make it a low back design but kept it covered with mesh,
so that it's not too overly revealing.

We also tried to make Mel and Dings do a pseudo Mediacorp CNY MTV...
But quite fail so I shall be nice and not post them up.
Hahaha.
Spare them the embarassment!
