Brought my mum out for a quick Mother's Day brunch the other day.
We picked Pacamara for it's convenient location,
because my mum can only afford to spend a few hours away from work.
My mum is someone who works too hard,
but willingly so without much complaints.
My parents run their own business and they only have 2 off days per year due to the nature of their work.
So we don't have family dinners every week/every month/every few months.
We only have a family dinner once every year,
during Chinese New Year.
We don't do family vacations either,
because obviously they would not be able to leave the country for a few days.
They can definitely leave their business to their employees,
but they refuse to, always saying that they want to be accountable for their own business.
This really inspires me to want to commit as much as I can to TTR.
Even though that my mum is always busy with work,
she never fails to show her love for us in little ways.
She's not big on showy gestures but she makes sure we are well cared for in her own ways.
She cooks for us whenever we can,
squeezing time out from her tight schedule because she insists that homecooked food is way more nutritious than outside food.
Sometimes she doesn't even have time to eat the own food that she cooks,
but she does it anyway out of love and care for us.
Of course,
there are countless other ways that she showers concern upon us.
And I'm sure all mothers do.
This Mother's Day,
