Hello hello everyone!
I hope you've been having a great week so far!
I'm back to blog about my first ever trip to JB last weekend,
and a sneak preview of a product which Loreal Professional has kindly sent me!
(We're also collaborating with them for our upcoming launch so do stay tuned cos we're giving away awesome stuff!)
;)
Tried and tested by myself,
so you can be sure it's good stuff!
Tried and tested by myself,
so you can be sure it's good stuff!
The team from Loreal Professional very kindly sent an additional bottle of this magic dust for me to review on my blog...
Super sweet of them to do that!!!
:)
I've actually seen this product on Cleo magazine this month,
and I would have gone ahead to purchase it for myself even if they hadn't approach TTR for a collaboration!
So I was really excited to receive this.
And they courier-delivered it to me the very next day after we liaised through emails!

This is my day-to-day hairstyle after blow-drying!
I hardly apply any styling products because I find it a hassle to have to wash them out at the end of the day.
But I really want big hair.
I love volume when it comes to hair!
I always believe that more is better when it comes to hair...
But my fine textured hair just makes it really impossible to achieve that look,
even after I permed it.
So Loreal Professional's Super Dust comes in to save the day!

Love the slightly tousled, bed head look!
It's a product which is really easy to use...
I forgot to take a video of when I used it,
but I'm doing up a video for the TTR shoot and I'm pretty sure you can catch it from there!
:)
It was my first try with this product so I used it minimally.
But I'm sure I can get even more voluminous hair if I were more adventurous with the amount of product I use!
You can see from the photos of my JB trip,
the volume in my hair lasts the entire day!
And best of all,
my hair remains matte and non-oily at the end of the day!
The only drawback for this product (in my opinion) is,
as with any styling products, you might find it a little difficult to wash out of your hair.
I wouldn't use this on a daily basis,
but it's great on days I want to go for volume in my hair!

Outfit for JB!
Not my usual look but I love it!
Hahaha.

At the money changer!
;)
We didn't really change much...
According to Sissy and Ben (who always goes to JB),
$50 per person is more than enough!
Dress down in sandals/slippers!
Then again, according to the JB experts,
we can take a train to either Yishun/Sembawang and take bus AC7 into JB!
Old Chang Kee to fill the tummies!
Noob first timers who have never been to JB.
Hahahaha.
My sister who looks like a dwarf besides Ben.
Hahaha.

We headed for City Square Mall straight because it's the shopping mall closest to the customs.
Hahah.
But it's currently under renovations so a whole lot of shops were closed!

They have Auntie Anne's, Shilin and Beard Papa!
We didn't get to buy them because we were super full from lunch and dinner.
But I want to eat them next time!!!

Wong Kok Char Chan Ting!
;)
Which Sissy and Ben usually frequent when they visit JB.

We were kept busy for at least 10 minutes, trying to scrutinise their menu.

They add sparkles to their food pictures!
Hahaha.
And they have weird names for their drinks.
Spot '古天乐2号'!
So funnyyyyyy omg.
If you want to visit them,
do it before August!!
Ben the food connoisseur taking orders for us.

THIS PHOTO IS FUNNY.
Hahahaha.
I don't know what we were doing!

MY FAVOURITEEEEEE!
Milk tea!
♥ ♥ ♥

Bad idea to blog this entry right in the middle of the night.
My stomach is growling like nobody's business now.
OMG.
:(
AND...
The point of going to JB is,
all the food there are really CHEAP.
Our bill for lunch only came up to SGD $40!
That's like around $10 per person.
For all that food!!!
We also caught a movie which has yet to screen in Singapore,
The Vampire Hunter!
The poster and movie title sounds quite blah,
but it was a pretty good and entertaining show!
No gory scenes at all,
but heart racing at certain parts!

Shopping isn't really cheap there,
so we didn't buy anything much!

And the two photos above tell you what a bad photographer my boyfriend is.
LOL.
His lack of photography skills makes me frustrated at times...
But to give him credit,
at least he tried!
Hahahaha.
We took a cab outside of the mall in search of dinner.
And Ben brought us to Sentosa!
Not Singapore's Sentosa...
JB also has a place called Sentosa and it's spelt exactly the same.

We had to walk some distance to find the place which Ben heard from his friends.
I'm glad we managed to locate it without much difficulties,
because it can be quite scary walking around JB when the sun was about to set.

This restaurant seems pretty popular among the locals!
We had to stand around and wait for seats when we first entered.
Good thing we got seats pretty quickly!

Don't know what Thom looking at.
Hahahaha.

Watermelon which no one ate,
but it was included in the bill.
Should have told them we didn't want this when they brought it to the table!
;(

Sambal kangkong which tasted better than it looked!

Hot plate tofu which is really hard to go wrong.
Paper wrapped herbal chicken which they are famous for!
I thought this was pretty good cos it tasted flavourful,
but Ben (who's the food connoisseur among us) thinks otherwise.
Thai styled deep fried fish which was really fresh!
:)))
And the entire meal cost us only SGD $50!
Amazeballs!
It would have amounted to more if we had the same meal in Singapore!
I think JB's gonna be my next favourite weekend haunt after town.
I love town but sometimes it gets disturbingly crowded.
Especially since it's the GSS now...
Look out for my next blogpost because I'm going to post behind the scenes of our upcoming launch!
We did a themed shoot (which we haven't done for some time) for the collaboration with Loreal Professional,
and it was really fun putting together everything!
:)
And I'm really excited this week because I love the outfits which I am going to wear out!
EXPECT PRETTY CLOTHES FOR THIS SUNDAY'S LAUNCH!
Not my usual look but I love it!
Hahaha.
